Job Summary:
G6 Cyber Solutions (G6-CS) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Scrum Master to join our team supporting the transformation of Air Force cyberspace. The Scrum Master will work closely with software developers and other stakeholders to facilitate the effective application of Scrum and other agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, agile practices, and experience working within a military or government environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
- Agile Framework Support: Champion the Scrum Framework and assist in the education and training of Scrum Masters and operational teams in agile methodologies such as Kanban and Scrumban.
- Impediment Removal: Identify and remove project impediments within the contract personnel’s span of control to ensure smooth project execution.
- Collaboration: Work with other Scrum Masters in the squadron to increase the effectiveness of Scrum application and foster a collaborative environment.
- Documentation and Reporting: Develop, maintain, and update team working agreements, and ensure that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by every member of the Scrum Team.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as DoD, AF, Joint, Cyber, OSHA, etc.
- Ensure Understanding: Ensure that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by every member of the Scrum Team.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor level degree preferred, not required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, preferably within a military or government environment.
- Certifications: CSM or PSM I certification and will obtain either a A-CSM or PSM II certification within 6 months of the individual being brought on-board.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies. Experience with project management software and tools such as Gitlab, Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian products.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify and resolve project impediments.
- Security Clearance: Must possess or be able to obtain a TS/SCI.
